Light posting tonight - busy day in town and here
Went into town to run a couple errands, one of which was closing down the bank account for the store that we had at Bank of America. We have been running an account at a local Credit Union for the last six months and just love it. It took a while to get the various direct deposits and credit cards and food stamp deposits switched over -- wanted to let the BofA account sit with zero transactions for a couple months just to make sure there were no gotchas...
The Branch Manager processed our request and you could see in her face that this was not a unique transaction. Made a major point to reassure her that this was nothing to do with the local branches, it was our dissatisfaction with the upper-level management that prompted our change.
Then went out for a meeting about this event:
Ride 542
The two local Chambers of Commerce are sponsoring an Eat 542 event on Saturday and the store will be sponsoring and running the food and water station at the top of the hill climb. We had an organizational meeting for that event this evening at a local restaurant.
For someone who semi-retired out into the country, life is about as busy as when I was working full-time in Seattle except this time, it's all community and fun stuff.
