Nancy Pelosi is about as out of touch with reality as anyone can get and still be able to walk and chew gum at the same time.

Pelosi Seeks to Make Health Reform Bill More Liberal When House leadership brings a final health care bill to the full House floor, it may be more liberal than moderate House Democrats expected, according to reports.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is planning to include in the bill a tax on wealthy Americans, as well as a more robust government-run health insurance plan (or "public option"), abandoning the compromises leaders in a key committee worked out with the moderate Blue Dog Democrats, according to Roll Call.
Just for fun I tried to see if Pelosi had held any Town Hall meetings during the recent recess. Didn't see anything but I did find this little clip:

Like I said, she needs to spend some time with actual people. You know, her constituents; not just her moneybags and lobbyists.
