Our enabling President

First, Obama made the "You didn't build that" speech. Now he says "You Can't Do Things By Yourself" -- from The Weekly Standard:
Obama: 'You Can't Do Things By Yourself'
"You know, the one thing about being president is, after four years, you get pretty humble. You'd think maybe you wouldn't but actually you become more humble--you realize what you don't know," Obama said.

"You realize all the mistakes you made. But you also realize you can't do things by yourself. That's not how our system works. You've got to have the help and the goodwill of Congress, and what that means is you've got to make sure that constituents of members of Congress are putting some pressure on them, making sure they're doing the right thing."
Excuse me Barry but fuck off. I have built a lot of things in my life -- started and ran several successful businesses, remodeled two houses (one I gutted down to the framing)... I have built lots of things and nothing I built required the help of the Federal Government. If there is one unifying theme to my life it is that the input from the Federal Government has been more of a hindrance than a help. The Federal Government has told me what kind of toilet I can own, what kind of lightbulb I can use, what I can and cannot do with the 30 acres of land that I own. He (and the rest of the polished turds in D.C.) is so far out of touch with the other 99% of America that he is useless. Posted by DaveH at February 26, 2013 8:19 PM
