US oil imports from Middle East increase
The US was more reliant on the Middle East for its oil imports last year, underscoring the critical importance of the politically unstable region for the country despite the growing energy independence its shale gas revolution is bringing.
This beggars the imagination:
#1) - they really do not like us
#2) - they are charging us a lot of money
#3) - we have more domestic oil and gas resources than they ever had.
So why?
Diesel is now about $4.20 if I can find it at that price.
It was under $3 a few years ago.
