New England Boiled Dinner
A lot of people will be having Corned Beef and Cabbage on St. Patrick's Day.
The Irish do not eat Corned (or otherwise) Beef -- it was too expensive for them, the beef was sold to the English.
What is eaten here is nothing more than a traditional New England Boiled Dinner.

I was at Costco the other day and their briskets were pretty well picked over, nothing caught my eye. I picked up a couple pounds of short-ribs and they are sitting in brine out in the Garage.
Yummy!!! Bought enough so there will be left-overs for sandwiches...
