Mad Cow disease found in USA cow

We will need to have more work done to verify that this is indeed the disease the cow is suffering from but if this is the case, this is not good. It's a cow in Washington state too...
The Mad Cow disease caused a lot of problems in England in the 80's and 90's and was thought to come from using animal by-products as feed. Specifically sheep that were infected with a similar disease called
Scrapie
