Cool software for Sysadmins
One of the jobs that a systems administrator has is to keep track of who has what installed in their machines.
There are a few commercial applications that do this - usually they are expensive since these companies don't sell a lot of them.
One shining star is the free AIDA-32 -- developed in Hungary by Tamos Miklos, this application will run on the client machine and report to a central database with the hardware configuration and installed software.
Tamos just announced that he is suspending development so if you are interested in this, it might be a good idea to download it now before the website goes away.
