I live only 7 miles from Weed, CA! It's a nice, small town nestled in the buttcrack mountains (really there's a mountain on each side of the town if there was a flood we'd be screwed) by Mount Shasta. I always knew this "weed" town name thing was gonna happen. I went to college there (yes the same college on the sign). It's called College of the Siskyous (Siskyou county).
