Spammers on parade
I thought that they were tapering off but the numbers surged the last two days.
Incoming: 532
Successful:
ZERO! (he he he)
Unique IP addresses: 183
I now have a list of over 7,000 unique IP addresses and various netblocks that I am making available to anyone to use in their anti-spam efforts.
I realize that many of these are probably dead machines. After I get the tarpit working, I'll be working on a "Time To Live" metric for the database and dropping older "fixed" machines. If a machine spams me and if it doesn't spam again for a few days, that IP address will be dropped off the database but it will be flagged. If that machine spams again, it will be given a little higher flag until it gets blackholed.
Fun little programming project.
