A bit more from the Welding Rodeo

I went back to the Welding Rodeo again today. I was supposed to go with my Dad but he had forgotten about the event and was gone when I went to pick him up. He and his caretaker stopped into the store to say hi instead... The local high-school that was working yesterday won the first place honors. Here are two photos: 1st Place in the Amateur Category. Cool beans! The photo doesn't begin to do it justice -- the round piece in the center rotates and is perfectly balanced. Nice clean welds. Being rural, a lot of these kids grew up helping their dads fix the tractor or logging equipment so welding is a skill learned early on. I will have more photos of the event in a day or two.
