Long day today and longer day tomorrow
Just got done with the dinner event -- sold about 150 hot dogs so that was profitable for both Chambers of Commerce. There has been some "
interesting" blood between the two so it was really good to be working side by side and splitting the profits evenly.
Now I need to unpack the van and get it loaded and ready for the race in the morning. The road is shut down at 7:30 so I am looking at a 6:00AM alarm. I am not a morning person. Grumble...
No free ice cream tomorrow -- after the race, we tear down the stand, load out and then Jen heads off to Eastern Washington for a two week backpack. We will be hitting the road around 3:00PM and spending the night somewhere on the other side of the Cascades. Winthrop or thereabouts. I drop Jen and her friend off at the trailhead and then head back home that evening.
