Great Bumper Sticker

Pray for Obama
Psalm 109:8

A hint here Swiped from Grouchy. And it is gaining traction -- from the Christian Science Monitor:
Biblical anti-Obama slogan: Use of Psalm 109:8 funny or sinister?
Theres a new slogan making its way onto car bumpers and across the Internet. It reads simply: Pray for Obama: Psalm 109:8

A nice sentiment?

Maybe not.

The psalm reads, Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

Presidential criticism through witty slogans is nothing new. Bumper stickers, t-shirts, and hats with 1/20/09 commemorated President Bushs last day in office.

I can't believe it's been this many days since I lurked in on your site, and missed this post. I'm a fairly longtime (silent lurker) fan, and live about 20 miles, or so, north of you.

Great Bible verse. And biblically speaking, there's nothing like a good crisis to drive people back to praying ...

However, you might want to be careful about wishing for something, because you might just get it. In Bible terms, the Israelites continually wanted a king - just like everyone else in their 'hood - and finally got one, which proved to be disastrous in the long term according to the biblical narrative.

In today's terms, it's hard not to think about who is #2 and #3 on the Presidential Succession list if #1 goes away for some reason. That by itself should cause lots of people to pray for BHO.
