65 years ago today
The first Atomic Bomb was exploded -- code name Trinity.

On my recent roadtrip to the East, I drove back through New Mexico and stopped off at a few rock shops as I am a bit of a geology geek. I found this little bit of rock for a decent price:

This rock is 65 years old today -- it was formed when the Trinity explosion liquefied the desert soil and turned it into a bubbling sheet of glass.
