Today was the ribbon cutting and dedication of our new library. The towns in this area are not incorporated so it was impossible to vote for a tax levy to raise money so a non-profit group was founded and donations came in from local people, businesses and other non-profits.
The land was purchased, ground was broken eleven months ago and the building was certified for public occupancy last week. An amazing speed considering that all of the construction was through volunteer labor.
The event was well attended -- the second 'Interior' shot was taken two hours before we started. There were good 150-200 people there and it was snowing and raining pretty heavily.
