A bit more on Republicans fighting voter fraud

This got my dander right up -- been doing a bit of digging. This bit of legislation happened in 1982 -- President Ronald Reagan's term was from January 20, 1981 to January 20, 1989. It was not President Reagan that did this though, it was the Chairman of the Republican National Committee -- a man named Richard (Dick) Richards from Utah. A search of the Republican National Committee website for Richard Richards turns up zero hits. There is a Richard Richards Institute for Politics, Decency and Ethical Conduct at Weber State University. Whoop-de-doo!!! The straw that breaks the camel's back is that the progressive websites were positively gloating over this throughout the election cycle and our Republican leaders did jack shit. DNC v. RNC-1982 Injunction against RNC extended
I am a member of the Obama voter protection team and just received an e-mail from the head of the team that makes me smile. The DNC has maintained an injunction against the RNC since 1982 on voter suppression and vote caging efforts. The Third Circuit just confirmed the opinion of the judge in that case to extend this injunction for eight more years http://electionlawblog.org/wp-content/uploads/rncvdnc.pdf Here is the statement of the DNC on this victory.
UPDATE: The above link suffers from Link Rot - here is the web page with the link to the correct URL. Two thoughts. One: Where the fsck was the Romney voter protection team? Two: We have suffered through this for thirty years without being told about it. We now have to suffer through another eight years -- two more Presidential elections and Four more Congressional elections while the progressives extend their Chicago machine out to the rest of the United States? And nobody at the GOP will grow a pair and fight this? We have had massive cases of vote caging against potential Republican voters this last election (documented telephone and postal service) so there is ample evidence to turn the tables but noooooo... We just want to get along. We are the party that reaches across the aisle. More - Project VOTE - (not dated) A simple search at Google tuns up about 30K hits. The few examples I cited were just off the first page. More later... Posted by DaveH at November 25, 2012 6:12 PM
