Al Gore in the news

From Watts Up With That comes a chain of emails from someone who works for Al Gore and the guy who filmed the Australian Fire Tornado who is a climate realist:
Emails reveal Al Gore and crew wont take no for an answer when seeking imagery to spin for their dirty weather project
People send me stuff.

Readers may recall this story: Al Gore denied film footage rights by an Australian filmmaker where Mr. Gore sought the broadcast rights to a fire tornado footage shot during a wildfire near Alice Springs Australia for use in his upcoming dirty weather report aka 24 hours of Tabloid Climatology.

The Australian wrote about how the filmmaker said no then:
Al Gore denied firestorm footage | The Australian
A WEATHER expert has backed the stance of an Alice Springs filmmaker who refused to sell footage of a firestorm to former US vice-president Al Gore to use in Mr Gores climate presentations because the event was unrelated to climate change.

In an email exchange with Mr Gores office, Tangey said using the footage in a climate-change framework would be deliberately deceptive

I am aware that you may have missed the reporting on the very localised nature of this firestorm, Tangey wrote. However, in any case, I am confused as to why you would offer to buy a licence to use it at all unless you had conducted even elementary research which might indicate that this Mt Conner event had direct linkage to global warming/climate change.
What follows are five emails back and forth -- Gore's people totally ignoring what Chris Tangey (the person who filmed the fire tornado) says about his personal thoughts on 'climate change'. For the Gore-bots, it's their way or the highway. Meanwhile in the comments, it is pointed out that Gore is devoting every penny he earns to his non-profit: Alliance For Climate Protection

AL GORE: Every penny that I have made, I have put right into a non-profit deal, Alliance For Climate Protection, to spread awareness of why we have to take on this challenge. And Congresswomen, if your, if, if you believe that the reason I have been working on this issue for 30 years is because of greed, you do not know me.
Al, we know you and your ilk all too well. You and your whole campaign jumped the shark fourteen years ago. The overall temperature of this planet has been stable or cooling since 1998. Also mentioned is this link to Gore's new house in Montecito, CA. It is his fourth luxury estate and cost him us taxpayers $8.8 Million Dollars. Doug Ross has the photos. More from the L.A. Times Pants on Fire. Talk about carbon footprint. Talk about hypocrite. Posted by DaveH at November 11, 2012 2:15 PM
