Great idea

From Bellingham, WA station KGMI:
Bill Would Require Drug Testing For Welfare Recipients
A measure being considered in the state Legislature involves drug testing for welfare recipients in Washington.

The bill, whose primary sponsor is Senator Don Benton of Vancouver, calls for testing for welfare recipients who are suspected by caseworkers of having drug problems.

A positive result would mean the recipient loses the benefits unless they undergo treatment and stay clean.

The measure is currently being heard in committee.
Time to call some Representative's offices -- a very good idea. Welfare was never meant to be a lifestyle -- it was meant to help a family over a bad patch. There are lots of people seriously abusing the system. Posted by DaveH at February 17, 2013 8:41 PM
