Conference picture dump

Here are a bunch of photos I took from yesterday and today: A Blacksmith is not a Farrier -- we do not work on horses. Many old-time Blacksmiths were also Farriers but the one does not convey the other. That being said, the Conference also hosted a Farrier Competition:

The trucks are always really interesting -- very efficient use of space.

Cute truck plates. The WA State FORGED is my truck.

A knifemaker I know from Seattle, Dave Lisch was working on a project.

Lulu took a class from Mark Aspery -- Curtis and I were planning to but the knifemaking session was rescheduled to the same time. Finally, here are five photos from the Blacksmith Wars event:

The level of craftsmanship was very high -- some gorgeous work. All in all, a great weekend -- our creative juices are recharged and we have a lot of new ideas for projects. Back home tomorrow... Posted by DaveH at August 25, 2013 3:44 PM
