Here are a bunch of photos I took from yesterday and today:
A Blacksmith is not a Farrier -- we do not work on horses. Many old-time Blacksmiths were also Farriers but the one does not convey the other.
That being said, the Conference also hosted a Farrier Competition:
The trucks are always really interesting -- very efficient use of space.
Cute truck plates. The WA State FORGED is my truck.
A knifemaker I know from Seattle, Dave Lisch was working on a project.
Lulu took a class from Mark Aspery -- Curtis and I were planning to but the knifemaking session was rescheduled to the same time.
Finally, here are five photos from the Blacksmith Wars event:
The level of craftsmanship was very high -- some gorgeous work.
All in all, a great weekend -- our creative juices are recharged and we have a lot of new ideas for projects. Back home tomorrow...
