Day One of Western States Conference
The conference is actually a bit smaller than the one two years ago. No grand opening and one less tent for demonstration plus a few of the national vendors did not show this year.
That being said, this one is a lot of fun. A local knife maker
Bob Kramer did a wonderful four hour presentation and the Blacksmith Wars started off this evening. The object of the Blacksmith Wars is to build a table with a light. The table needs to be able to hold two drink glasses and a television clicker. Four teams and there will be judging on Saturday with the pieces being auctioned off on Sunday.
