Alpha Cine auction - update
A week ago, I posted about
one of Seattle's major media houses closing and being put up for auction.
I checked the
listing website today and they now have lot descriptions and some photos.
It looks like much of the major equipment has been privately sold before calling the auctioneers -- no
KEMs or
Steenbecks (PDF). It is delightful to find that
Steenbeck is still very much in business making parts for their older decks as well as new designs -- analog filmmaking is still very much a force.
Still, there are a lot of things listed with more to come in the next week or so. Planning to drive down and attend. Pick up a trinket or two for old times sake...
