Well DAGNABIT!
Missed out on a great local auction. Western Washington University sells their surplus items through the
Public Surplus auction website.
They had a cart full of some electronic test equipment -- some working, some trashed beyond belief. I went to inspect it last Friday.
I bid $400 on it --
the winning bid was $610.
Rotsa ruck whomever bought it -- if they did not inspect it, they will have an unpleasant discovery when they come to pick it up. $400 was a bit high but there were a couple (working) pieces that I wanted.
Every so often the buyer, on inspection, will refuse the sale and these lots get re-listed. I'll see what happens in a week or two...
