The big move - Fermi Muon g-2 magnet
Back in May, I
posted about a 50 foot diameter magnet
being moved from the Brookhaven National Laboratory in New York to the Fermilab in Batavia. It has
arrived in Chicago and is scheduled to reach its new home
this Friday. Here is a short video of it being moved through Chicago:
The company that is moving the ring is
Emmert International
. They specialize in unusual rigging and moving projects.
